Osteo Health Matters is a forward thinking and innovative company that is currently at the forefront of bone ultrasonometry in South Africa. We aim to provide bone density testing in innovative ways using ground breaking technology. The caring culture and strong ethical characteristic is our formula fro a positive, progressive trend in the South African healthcare industry. 

Osteo Health Matters is fully compliant with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa (HPCSA) regulations and guidelines, and is an appropriately registered health care provider with the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF).

The service offered uses QUS (quantitative ultrasound); is portable; less time consuming; is far more cost effective at a fraction of the cost of a DEXA scan and may be re-claimed from medical aid. As opposed, the DEXA scan which is radiation based, time consuming and costs in excess of R1000.00.

The service is run by Nisha Panday, a qualified radiographer with 15 years’ experience in the industry incl. CT and MRI scanning, mammography and general x-rays. She also has experience in clinical trials regarding osteoporosis. Nisha places great emphasis on service delivery and empathetic patient/client care. We also adopt strict medically ethical guidelines.
