Ultrasound Bone Density Testing - The New Era

The new era of ultrasound can be used confidently to predict fracture risk in both men and women. Early assessment will encourage prevention of bone loss, maintenance of normal bone quality and reduction in future fracture risk. Bone Ultrasonometry has developed over the last ten years as a sophisticated method for assessment of bone quality that is well accepted in many countries. There are currently more than 8000 ultrasonometers installed worldwide.

The screening we offer costs R300 and may be reclaimed from medical aid. The test takes approximately 10 15min and can be carried out at your office/ desired location.
